Using fake tan on R/T skin doesn't work... At the mo i look like some grubby kid that doesn't wash their neck! I have a FAAAAABULOUS tide mark with a lighter strip down the middle. & no amount of scrubbing will take it away!

How attractive!

Hi Dave,
I don't try and cover them up - i just decided to use the fake tan cuz i don't believe in sun bathing. My skin is like porcelain & i burn easy and i don't want to get skin cancer and wrinkles as well as everything else. So i use the fake tan instead. Plus i look a whole lot healthier with a glow (hides the dark circles under my eyes) BUT... it clings to the R/T affected skin more than anywhere else. So i look grubby & dirty rather than sunkissed *lol* Big Grin

I had Red Cross lesson in make up and the technique with a sponge they use is good. However I never like the make up they prescribed so I us Estee Lauder double wear make up which is smudgeproof once dry/set and apply it with a sponge as they taught me. I found the prescribed make up setting powder made me itch and marked my clothes although their base and powder certainly is waterproof.

I really prefer the Estee Lauder Doublewear and you don't need powder as it sets.

Thanks pauline,
i used to use the double wear, but switched to the So Ingenious (before they discontinued it) Bomb. I get a bit of an oily T-Zone so need the lighter touch. I now use the mineral foundation from Bare Essentuals. It's FANTASTIC. Really light, great coverage though. & natural mineral sunscreen built in! Covers my extra R/T freckles a treat! Wink
