Channel 4 are doing a 3 part documentary series with Ian Wright about children’s health. On one of the documentaries they are trying to help a young girl who smokes and will not stop.

They had a case study lined up to appear on the documentary to show the risks of smoking unfortunately the lady they had as the case study (mouth cancer with her tongue and voice box removed) was diagnosed with lung cancer this week as well so can not appear on the documentary and they are now looking for another case study. They did not specify an exact age but they are looking for a female adult with mouth cancer who is willing to appear on the documentary to show the serious consequences of what happens if you smoke to this young girl and to the millions of viewers watching the documentary. The woman/ carer will be able to mention the Mouth Cancer Foundation and once we know more or can confirm a case study for them I can see if we can get them to mention the mouth cancer awareness week and the mouth cancer walk as well.

It is short notice but if you are willing to do the documentary please let me know and I can discuss the finer details with Channel 4 on Monday. They will be filming in London so it may be suitable for someone from that area but if not we can discuss transport with them. If this can work out it would be a great opportunity for the Mouth Cancer Foundation.

Please contact me at media@mouthcancerfoundation.org if you can help. Thanks.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee
