The Policy Team at Cancer Research UK are looking for people to take part in a discussion about how people are diagnosed with cancer and what we could be asking the Government to do to improve earlier diagnosis of cancer. Cancer Research UK is planning a patient discussion day on the 21st April to feed into some of our policy work on diagnosis. We need patients and carers who live within easy travelling distance from Birmingham who have experienced the diagnosis of cancer in the last few years to come and share their story at a day-long event on 21st April 2010. Lunch and travel expenses will be provided. We are asking any interested patients or carers to drop us a line at patient.day@cancer.org.uk or call 020 7061 8362

Hilary Tovey
Policy Manager
Cancer Research UK

Dear All

I hope that members in the Birmingham area will take the opportunity to represent the views of mouth cancer patients and carers.

Best wishes

Vinod

Dear Dr Vinod Joshi,

You may remember back in January this year, we asked if you could help to advertise our patient discussion day (to help inform our policy work on cancer diagnosis) on your forum. We held in Birmingham on the 21st April and all involved found it of great value. We thought your readers may be interested in following up on this, and a report of the day is available on our website here: "Working with Patients"

Best wishes,

Lizzy
