Hi, I have a 7 year old grandaughter who had oral cancer at the begining of this year. she had her tumor removed, (along with most of her top jaw and roof of her mouth), in May this year. I know that she is younger than your journalist is looking for, but she, and our entire family are so grateful for the outstanding treatment she received that we are all willing to do as much as possible to raise awareness, and early detection of this disease. My grandaughter has been interviewed this week by a journalist who is submitting her article to Woman's Own magazine in connection with their Children of Courage Awards, but if we/she can be of any assitance in raising awareness please email me - resageos@aol.co.uk

I wonder why no one wants to write about men? Don't they get mouth cancer too?

Hello Dr Joshi, thanks for your response on this forum, unfortunately I have not received your private email - my fault I think, my email address is Resageos@aol.co.uk (capital "R"), sorry it must be case sensitive! I look forward to your comments should you resend the message. Thank you.

Hi Maureen

Sorry to hear about your granddaughter. I hope she's enjoying her new bike!

Perhaps Dr Joshi sent you a private message on the message board, which can be accessed using the menu at the top "Go > My Space > Private Messaging". Or you may see a 'new message' icon alert at the top of the page if you've got an unread message waiting for you.

Regards, Krishan

Hi Krishan
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction to Dr Joshi's private message - I have read and replied. Our Georgia seems quite famous in your area with the recent news about her stolen quad and the new donated one. Some people are so very kind. Many thanks once again, best wishes, Maureen.
