Hello,

I am a writer for women's magazines and national newspapers. The titles I write for include Take A Break, Pick Me Up, New, Best, The Daily Mirror, and other national titles.

If any of you want to share your experiences of mouth cancer in order to educate and inspire other women, many of whom may have just been diagnosed, I would be very interested in talking to you.

I give full copy appoval which means you approve what has been written before it appears in the magazine. Magazines also pay upon publication, and any money raised can be donated to a charity.

All I ask is that you are happy to be pictured, and have never been in a magazine before.

If you would like to talk to me, please ring me on 0117 9604 431 or visit my website below.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and best wishes for the future.

Yours, Nicola

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your post. In the past I have written stories for magazines about men with cancer, e.g breast or testicular cancer, and they have been commissioned by health editors.

However as a general rule of thumb, because the readership of women's magazines is so predominantly female, the features need a female perspective, which is why I have more success in getting stories commissioned if I can interview females. In the cases above the features were told by the wives of the men with cancer to give the female perspective.

I hope that answers your question.

Yours,
Nicola
