Cancer Research UK - Scotland Against Cancer Conference 2009
Friday 20 March 2009 Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Organised by Cancer Research UK and supported by the Cross Party Group on Cancer in the Scottish Parliament, Scotland Against Cancer is a unique event in the Scottish cancer conference calendar. Now in its seventh year, Scotland Against Cancer attracts high-level political support and involvement of stakeholders across the cancer community, including politicians from all parties, policy makers, clinicians, charities, patients and researchers. The conference is addressed by Ministers and leading figures in the cancer field, making it an important forum for politicians and other stakeholders to discuss cancer policy and services and to make recommendations for future action. This year, the conference will focus on the publication of Better Cancer Care: An Action Plan, reflect on the successes and developments we have seen over the past twelve months, and address some of the challenges for the future. Scotland Against Cancer affords delegates the opportunity to hear from others working in cancer prevention, treatment, car and research, but crucially, to feed in their own experience and expertise through the discussion groups. Twenty complementary registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis for individual patients, carers or support group representatives. MCF can apply for a maximum of two complementary places. Complementary registrations do not include travel or accommodation. If you wish to be considered for a complementary registration, please forward to me your details at info@mouthcancerfoundation.org asap so that I can forward your name to the conference secretariat.
