When you have an ‘I hate my job’ day, try this …

On your way home from work stop at the pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and buy a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson (it must be this brand). When you get home draw the curtains or blinds and disconnect the phone so you won’t be disturbed. Now change into comfortable clothing and sit in your favourite chair. Open the packet and carefully remove the thermometer. Now place it onto a table or worktop, gently so it won’t become chipped or broken.

Now the fun part begins … Take the leaflet out of the box and read it very carefully. You will notice that in small print there is a statement that says “every rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson is personally tested, then sanitised”

Now close your eyes and repeat out loud five times – “I am so glad I do not work in the thermometer quality control at Johnson & Johnson” !
