Obviously through R/T i didn't use any make-up & you have to be extra gentle with your skin. I DID however use Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare products. Packed full of natural ingredients, and gentle on the skin. In fact, through R/T & Chemo i don't think i had one zit! (probably the lack of hormonesn & no zitty bacteria is gunna survcive that toasting) But still i suppose that's one bonus of my Cancer treatment. The moistriser i used at the weekends, packed with borage oil, echinacea & natura vitamin e. & the Cleanse & polich i used every evening (when i had the stregnth. You can find em HERE . I'm not on comission or anything *lol*! I just found it worked for me. PLUS it's great to pamper yourself! This message has been edited. Chelle, During the R/T I only used the aquaeous cream. I used it to wash with as well. My Radiotherapists also said to only use Johnsons Baby Shampoo on my hair. I also had really clear skin, except for the burns on my cheek, thank god I don';t think I could have stood to have spots as well as eberything else, as they would have irritated my skin. A couple of months after the Radiotherapy I tried a daily facial skinwash - never again. Although I chose the one for sensitive skin, it was definitely too harsh for me. I came out in a rash all over my face, and as I didn't dare try to cover it up I had to go around with a blotchy face for weeks. Eventually I had to use some hydrocortisone cream to calm it down. Today I am suffering for my vanity. I needed some passport photos. I tried about a year ago, and just cried when I saw the pictures, so I've put it off for a year until I looked more like myself. I took some in a booth a few weeks ago, and once again I was really disapointed, I looked washed out and I had bags under my eyes. I decided to try again in another photo booth, and I prepared really carefully. I put on loads of eye cream, and concealer under my eyes, and I took plenty of money and my make-up bag so that I could redo my make-up if necessary and retake the pictures. Obviously I overdid the under eye treatment because this morning I woke up with really sore and puffy eyes, I couldn't wear my contact lenses, so I had to take lots of anti-histamines and stay in bed.

Hi Jenny, I've never been able to tolerate shop bought cleansers. Except for facial wipes. But this Cleanse & Polish is amazing! I use it to take off even full saturday night make-up! It's a creamy cleanser too, containing : Almond milk, Rosemary, Chammomile & Eucalyptus. You can massage it over the eyes & it takes off mascara, eye liner, the works! It smells amazing and with the cloth it feels likle you've had a good clean! I still battle with the dark circles & use Lancome Flash Retouche... dab 4 little dots under the eyes & blend. I don't envy your puffy eyes -~*Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds*~- ...Albert Einstein

Hi Girls, Have either of you tried the Simple range for sensitive skin?. Brian used the soap & shower gel during his treatment We have continued to use their products since then, as I cant wear perfumed stuff. They have a nice moisturiser & a very silky Talc. I also use Derma Guard Skin protector with moisturiser(fragrance free) which I get from Lakeland. You can use it on any part of the body & one bottle lasts for ages. Fran.

Chelle, I think I'll try the Lancome product. I've been using some eyeshadow from Lancome and it's amazing. It doesn't smudge or wear off, and i had rto buy some Lancome eye makeup remover to take it off. As I haven't had an adverse reaction to those products I'll try the one you recommended. The dark circles make me look so worn out, and make me think that I still don't look as if I've recovered.

Jenni, I know what you mean about the dark circles! Mine are emphasised by my lily white skin! I've been using the Garnier Deep tan facial moisturiser every other day & the glow it gives makes me look so much healthier! Under the tan i still look quite gaunt and pallid. It hides a multitude of sins! Fran, I used the Simple facial wipes throughout 'chemo week' & they're even gentle enough to go over the eyes & convenient when you're not feeling up to a proper skin care routine. I have to admit... i'm such a beauty product junky! It's terrible! I'm goin to Ostende for a day trip sunday & i know Amir will have to march me past the make-up counter so i don't assasinate the credit card!! -~*Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds*~- ...Albert Einstein

Hi Chelle, I know what you mean about being a cosmetics junkie. The creams look so lovely in their jars. But one day I looked at the ingredients in one of them. There were so many I thought"what am I doing putting this gunk on my fsce, to be absorbed into my body." My purse is a lot heavier now. Resist, resist Enj.oy your trip

I agree Fran, All those petro-chemicals are shocking! The Liz Earle range use a huge number of natural ingredients, no chemical sun screens, no animal ingredients, no GM inmgredients, & only use preservatives where it's absolutely necesscary for the integrity of the product. & its an eco-friendly company. Based on the Isle of Wight. They even go as far as recyliong their palletes and making them into bird boxes! -~*Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds*~- ...Albert Einstein
