Just something you all probably know...b ut today I re-discovered the joy and coolinng properties of the good old iced lolly. Nothing fancy. A nice long Tesco orange one. But this is quite a breakthrough for me as orange juice and anything related has been far too sharp for me to swallow.
Another nice thing is a carbonated elderflower spring water which my d-i-law found in the local Co-op. Much more refreshing than the cordial. Eating-wise I have a great craze at the moment for courgettes which I slice, cover with salt, drain after 3omins, and fry gently in butter and olive oil along with garlic until they're soft. I still have to whizz them about in the blender but they are delicious, hot or cold. Now I am going to have a bedtime lolly. Hopefully it won't drip on my book. Regards to all..Ishbel |
