Hiya. Matt's face and neck really swells up from time to time and there seems to be no real reason for it. Have you a nurse to ask about it?

I am starting work on the 19th of Sept. Hope to come and see your work for a few days then if okay?. Yes had some nice days but have just come to realise that Matts condition is worsening and we are talking months now. Just can't believe it. Very hard. Regards. Michelle. |

Michelle, My heart goes out to the two of you..Those words sound so --yeah yeah yeah anymore...What I want to say is this...I am DAMN mad...That this disease is taking your wonderful, loving husband..I am DAMN mad that it is taking some of the nicest people I have ever had the opportunity to know...I am DAMN mad that we even have to know what any of this means!!!! Or what ORAL CANCER IS!!!! I know the day will come when it will be me in Matt's place...And the words I am saying to you will be said to me....I am not ready for that..I have a feeling that no one on here is...allthough there are some that say they are ready....READY???? REALLY???? I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE!!! I am not ready to leave my honey, my children, my family.....I am not ready...I have beat this thing 4 times now---I don't know how many more times I can do that...I have already gone over the limit....Michelle,,,Love him,,,talk to him,,,hold him...Let him know that we are all here....Always,,,,Vicki Lynn

Dear dear Vicki ;ynn. I am so glad you came back.
Yes I get really really angry too, not just for Matt but for our children and his lovely family too. I feel angry because of the horrible treatment he has gone through to no avail and the suffering he still will go through and he doesn't deserve. You are a very positive person and determined, just like Matt and I'm sure that helps to keep you both going. He is definately not ready to go and hopefully will keep bouncing back, although his Doc says no, but, hey what do they know about the human spirit? Take care of yourself and your family, I'll think about you all every day. Love Michelle. x |
