Hi every one, yes Trush and not Blackbird is back and I am really having a shxxxy time, back on the treatment, and have the hospital next week 7th April. I almost passed out in a shop yesterday, have booked to see a Doc; think it may be low blood sugar, as I never feel hungry, only when I feel about to pass out do I realise I need food; is any of you getting the same feeling?

Cathy thanks for asking. I don't have thrush right now - this is a very old thread, but the damn thing does reappear every so often.

Garance have you had a diabetes test? I'm really sorry you are having a bad time of it.

I know that never feeling hungry thing. For me that comes and goes. The less you eat the less you want to eat I find.

Now I take Zinc tablets and they have helped my ability to taste. I do feel hungry these days and can suddenly taste so much more. But my way of eating is very different than before. I eat small bits of food frequently about every hour or two. I wonder if this is how others eat now?

I seem to be grazing small amounts of different foods all day (such as a biscuit or two dipped in tea) and never eat a full meal as others do anymore becuase even without the grazing i find my stomach fills rapidly. In fact I wonder now where I used to put it all - you can survive on so little food so it's understandable that you don't notice.

At a family Easter meal last week I felt so full on the main course and could not eat two thirds of it, but as soon as the food type changed to the next course I could eat again. You may just need more variety to stimulate your appetite. How about some extra nutritious thick shakes. I guess our stomachs just get smaller and with the throat swallow being smaller for those that still have the facility, that slows everything up for those who take table food orally.
