What are people's thoughts/experience of alternative/holistic treatments for cancer? Things along the lines of the Bristol Cancer Care group?

http://www.bristolcancerhelp.org/

My husband's oral cancer (tongue) has just come back and he is to have more surgery following his op in February, and I want to explore all options (to use in conjunction with surgery, not instead of) but I don't want to be exploited.

Thanks

Morning Spouse, To be honest my answer would have to be IF you have to pay for it dont go there Frowner

Too many people have been given false hopes and I think instead of trying to get the miricle cure try somehow to live with the situation it is alot more beneficial Smiler
sorry if I sound straight foward, but thats me ! Red Face

I wish you both all the best
Paul

Hi Paul

Thanks for your reply.

So far we have had to pay for all of my husband's treatment.....if we'd have waited for the NHS then he'd have died in the meantime. Fortunately we've got insurance to cover the cost.

Dear spouse,
Hi! I am sorry for your husband. But I have the same situation with my Dad. He is 65 years old. But we don't have surgery yet, as we decided to try internal radiotherapy first. Could you please write me the symptoms how it came back. Dad feels burining on the place where the tumour used to be and there is redness there.
I wish your husband to recover. Thanj you for the reply in advance.

Hi Kim

I have Private Messaged you. I don't want to post too much about my husband's symptoms/treatment on the board as I don't want him to recognise himself!

Hi guys
My husbamd's tongue tumour is probably inoperable, so we are going down the road of alternative treatments, and my feeling is that you should try anything and everything,we've nothing to lose.
