Hi, my name is San. I was diagnosed with acicnic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland in February. I had sugery, and radiotherapy, until two weeks ago. I'm beginning to feel better now, but my mouth is still a mess, and i cannot get by without anti-nausea medication. My blood pressure is also very low, so that i cannot stay om my feet very long. Is this normal under the circumstances? Does anybody know? thanx.

Hi San,
Given all you've been through it's going to take time for all your side effects to subside.
It took me a few months to recover from treatment for my nasopharyngeal cancer.
The key is taking one day at a time and getting enough nutrition for your body to repair and recover.
Most of us have some lasting side effects from our treatment. But you DO learn to lie with them.In fact, i can't remember how it was before even Smiler
My blood preassure was low because of being so dehydrated - so make sure you drink plenty of water. Your mouth will take time.
All the best,
Michelle
