Neck breather are at a high risk of getting inadequate therapy when seeking urgent medical care because of shortness of breath. I experienced this myself on several occasions when I needed urgent care at local emergency rooms when the nurses mistakenly administered oxygen to me through my nose and not through the tracheotomy site. A video presentation that explain how to recognize and do CPR to laryngectommes is available on You Tube at this blog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE-n8cgl77Q
I encourage neck breathers to share this presentation with your those who may respond to help you (Closest emergency department and Medical Response Team).
