Mild Line Tongue LesionGo ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Hi All, I have had an iodine 123 scan because the consultant has found a mild tongue lesion from an MRI scan I had done.He said at the time that I wont need a biopsy or surgery because he suspects a lingual thyroid.I've had the scan and the radiographer said it's not a lingual thyroid and said I may need a biopsy?? He didn't look very happy after the scan and was really chatty before. I just wondered what everybody thinks because I would rather have one done rather than left wondering what if it is something more suspicous? Has anybody had a similar experience? Thanks for reading, David

Hi David Better safe than sorry. Have the biopsy, if only for your own peace of mind. Julia Howdilly doodilly, survivorinos!

It's great the consultant is acting so speedily to resolve your problem - less stress for you. I was put on "hold" for 6 months by some incompetent registrar. Much good it did me. It cost the health service a lot more to cure me and my mental health was shot at! good luck to you tony k

What does anybody think the next step will be? I've had an MRI scan that has detected the lesion and the 123 Iodine Scan and am just wondering what his next step will be? I'm just hoping he doesn't say its nothing? Thanks for reading, Dave.
