Link: Epilim is sometimes used for neuropathic pain.
quote:
What is Neuropathic Pain
Neuropathic pain is defined as pain caused by a lesion or dysfunction in the nervous system. There is no noxious (pain causing) stimulus that is causing the pain. Rather, the pain results from inappropriate signals in the nervous system. Unlike physiologic pain, which serves to warn and protect individuals from possible or actual injury, neuropathic pain serves no useful purpose.

Some examples of peripheral neuropathic pain include:

Pain following limb amputation

Hi Bev,
Don't or can't suggest the answer to the pain.
I'm post op initially Oct 2006 and further three surgerys (another due).
I'm "supposed" to take Gabapentin 300mg x 3 per day, morphine slow release 60mg x 2 and Oramorph for breakthrough. (There's no Graemlin for stoned, so can't show one!!!! Big Grin)
I can't take them all. They don't do much for the pain and I can't function on them either!
I am pretty good at meditating and have found it help just as much with the pain as the medication, without feeling stoned off my head and semi functional. It doesn't get rid of it but makes it more bearable.
