I just joined this group. My mother has been fighting oral cancer for about 3 years now. They gave her only 1 year when they diagnosed her. She has had radiation, lesions removed, and numerous medications. During the past few weeks she has had bleeding from a lesion in her moth. She finally wentto the dr yesterday. They hospitalized her. Can the cancer from her mouth spread into her digestive system from swallowing the blood? | |||

Hello Beverly It is most unlikely for a mouth cancer cell to survive the stomach's acids and enzymes, so don't worry about that! Hope your mum gets better. Let us know how she does.
