My husband is in his 6th week of oral cancer treatment. He found when waking up the other night his tongue was attached to the side of his mouth and he could not get it off. He tried with water and finally it came off. Shortly after the roof of his mouth is said cracked right across the top. No pain noted but quite scary. He then told me it healed itself. Has anyone had this experience. Any suggestions?

It happened because the mouth was dry. It iis useful to lubricate the mouth, with something like Biotene Oral Balance gel, or 0.25 tsp of castor oil (Maurice's suggestion!) etc to avoid the dryness, before sleep at night.
