I am qurious about something. I would like to know of any head & neck cancer survivors that have chosen NOT to do radiation after surgery. I was told that all of my cancer was gone due to surgery and I had a CT done 3 weeks ago with nothing showing.

I have have 5 Rad treatments so far, and I am very anxious about what is to come. Also, I cannot afford any more time off of work as I had to take 9 weeks off due to my surgery.

Thank you all who respond to this post.

Prayers to all,

Molly

Hello Molly

It is best for you to speak to your oncologists as they can tell you best why you need the radiation. Then you can weigh up the side-effects/benefits and made a joint informed decision. Not every patient needs radiation therapy.

Best wishes
