Hi All

This might sound weird but for the past week or so I seem to have a constant itch and tingling in my back, it seem to start from below the shoulder blade surrounding area.

Constantly scratching (people are starting to think that I've got fleas.

Perhaps side effect from R/T?

Regards

Tony

Or... perhaps you HAVE got fleas!! Wink Eeker

Is it superficial? Is is it the skin that itches?

Hi Chelle.

Re - the flea's, if it had been 18 months ago it might had been down to our old bulldog. At last he has gone to the great kennel in the sky (he was 14 years old).

It's more of a constant tingling that runs up the spine and under the shoulder blades.

Regards

Tony

Nerve damage perhaps?
You should get it checked out...But then you know that already!

14 is ancient for a bulldog!

Take care Tony!

kathleen, hi, i get the exact same thing for many years now... comes and goes. it is a deep muscle kind of itching and tingling. Did you ever find out the cause? Curious as I still don't know the cause of mine.

You need to get it cecked out as it could be shingles.
Then again you may be allergic to some medication.
I was allergic to something or other - I can never remember what it was (and yet every op they ask me, - diclofenac I think) - had to go to see skin specialists and all sorts and no one had any ideas so I thought I'd check on the internet for possible side effects to the tablets I was on and lo and behold! So I stopped taking them and it went away! Months of suffering for nothing!
That said I also get allergic reactions to biological washing powders which make me itch like hell.

Hope this is of some help!

Try using flax oil or flax seeds. It works for me. You need to stick with it. When I stop taking it I am quickly reminded to get back on it. Good Luck

Hi Tony,
I think it is nerve damage too.You had a neck dissection so they will have bruised some nerves.
I am completely numb from the top of my ear and down to my left bicep. Occasionally it tingles and itches especially when i have a massage!
Keep Smiling !

Hi All

Thanks for posting

I seem to have missed the "newer" posting about the itchy and tingling back, amazingly it was a year ago when I posted.

I think that Anne is right it has something to do with the neck dissection, have most of the feeling back now except my ear is numb and the neck is well stiff still have tingling and itchy. I purchased one of those massager you put on your office chair what a wasted of time.

terrig mentions flax oil, I have used flax mixed with low fat cottage cheese it is then mixed in a blender, supposedly has cancer fighting properties something about increasing oxygen uptake, tastes and looks like putty, one side effect of flax oil is well for want of a better word it will keep you regular.

Hi Anthony hope you are well and thanks for your suggestions.

Regards

Tony
