I am potentially going for radiation treatment although I feel that I have been a bit mislead as to what exactly to expect by my RO. I have a lot of questions but to start with how much weight loss should i expect? I dont have a lot to lose.

Each case is different and treatment varies. My own situation was I had no peg inserted .I think this helped my recovery.Personally I went from 13.4 to 9.8 over an 8 month period but I am now back up to 10.6.

You really have be be focused during the treatment but the worst period for me was the last week of my radiotherapy and the month after which proved very painful.

If you read some of my posts it may help .My advice is to eat all that is bad for you and also take plenty of supplements .My preference was fortysips

good luck

Hi!
I agree with Rob eat loads of what makes you fat while you can!
I did have a PEG which helped me enormously-the smell of those fortisips really turned my stomach! It was bad enough putting them thru my PEG!
I lost about 2 1/2 stone and was a size 00 for a long time.
A year on am now just about a 0! Skinny!
Keep smiling!
Anne

Hi,
I lost about 3 stone (42lb) in 3 months. & i was 9 stone 7lb to start with. So like you i couldnt afford to lose that weight. & that was with a PEG tube. I'm now about 8 stone 7lb. & i'm 5 foot 8" so yeah, icould do with a couple more pound but i'm not too skinny - in my opinion!

Just eat eat eat now. But try and stay fit cuz i had alot of muscle wastage amonst that 3 stone!
