I have had this annoying symptom for about three years and have seen many doctors for answers. I have dry lips and mouth but can't seem to figure out what is going on. I've been treated for lupus, sjorgens, arthritis, HIV and a salivary gland scan test. All has revealed no abnormalities but I know their has been a significant amount of changes in my mouth especially with my speech pattern. I can't seem to produce enough saliva and my mouth feels dry and sticky. What gives? Is their anyone out there who has had these problems? Can you help! :banghead:

Hello otis
Looks like your doctors have found any cause for your dry mouth and lips. It must be frustrating to have a problem but no cure or explanation :banghead: Try these links given by Google - perhaps the answer is there to be found. If your salivary glands are normal, you can try to manage the problem with Biotene samples of products that help with the dry mouth. You could also try sucking SST lozenges.get your doctor to prescribe Salagen tablets to stimulate saliva flow. Alternatively, try visualisation (e.g of saliva stimulating foods/scents) following actual stimulation and anchoring ( a NLP technique) quote:Hope that helps.
