Well, I am finally almost through with my RAD. Only 9 more to go. I am having alot of pain in my throat and tongue. I have also lost 20 + lbs. But, will continue to drink and eat what I can with no PEG.

I am now looking forward to getting my tastebuds back and gaing weight, which is strange, because I have always wanted to loose weight..LOL.

If any one thinks they would benefit from my experiences, I would be more than happy to talk with them. Let me know.

Hugs and Love!!!

Molly

Helloooo from Melanie -- (just two states up in the "Old Dominion")

Let me just say (yell!)... Way to go, Molly!!!!

Twenty pounds is not a bad weight loss, considering. You did good!!!!!!!

I am certain that your experience would be of great benefit to others facing radiation. Isn't it great to now be in a position to support, enlighten, and encourage others who are newly diagnosed from the perspective of someone who has "been there" and did just fine!?

Looking forward to your upcoming notes after post-treatment scans reveal the ALL CLEAR!!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery once treatments are ALL DONE!

Melanie

HI MOLLY
I HAD TO LAUGH WHEN I READ YOU SAYING YOU HAD ALWAYS TRIED TO LOSE WEIGHT! Big Grin JUST BEFORE I HAD MY FIRST OPERATION I JOINED WEIGHT WATCHERS BECAUSE I WANTED TO LOSE 14lb - I ENDED UP LOSING AROUND 50 Eeker
AT FIRST I WAS SO PLEASED WITH HOW I LOOKED BECAUSE I HAD NEVER LOOKED SO SLIM (US FEMALES ARE ALL THE SAME!!)BUT THEN IT WENT BEYOND SLIM AND I WAS SO WEAK AND VERY ILL LOOKING, NOTHING LOOKED GOOD ON ME, CLOTHES JUST HUNG OFF ME.
BUT A YEAR DOWN THE LINE THE WEIGHT HAS GONE BACK ON, STRANGE HOW IT CAN GO ON SO QUICK Lol EVERYONE SAYS HOW MUCH BETTER I LOOK, I ALWAYS WANTED TO LOSE WEIGHT LIKE YOU, BUT I WOULDN'T RECOMEND 'C' AS THE WAY TO DO IT Roll Eyes

KEEP WELL
BEST WISHES
