Hi Vinod,

One of the reasons i started this thread was to see how widespread IMRT has become in the UK. I'm not sure if I'm one of the few or one of the many?

Secondry to that was to see if the supposed improvements are there in reality. I am only two months out of IMRT and with nothing to compare againsts it's very difficult to tell at the moment.

As for volunteers i may be able to, but it would very much depend on what would be involved. If you could let me have some details that would help

Cheers

Ian

For all of you that did receive IMRT you were presummably told about how less impact the sideeffects would have.

ie. Less pain and effects not as bad and for not as long. For me the key one was maintaining saliva (or at least the return of it if it did go.

Has it delivered what the docs promised ??????

Hello All

(1) MCF is looking for volunteers to act as its patient representative for this NICE Technology appraisal. Any volunteers?

(2) We will be making a submission soon on behalf of head and neck cancer patients saying why it should be available to all where most appropriate. So comments from those who have had IMRT about their IMRT treatment and benefits of this as against conventional RT others have had would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Best wishes

MCF needs to make nominations for expert patients in the next two weeks. All that is required is that you had experience of IMRT and can compare your experience of side-effects with that of others here. I will hold your hand to make it feel less daunting. Smiler
