Hi Guys

Have some down days and the McMillan nurse thinks my seroton levels are down and suggests i ask for some antidepressants to raise them ?/

I have searched the net and 2 items have been brought to my attention

EPA fish oil 90%
5 HTP capsules

Both say they can raise levels without side affects

Any advice would be welcome

Regards
Dave and Sue

First of all, I will highly recommend to consult doctor or physician before taking any kind of medicines, whether it be 5 htp or some other medicine. Once the doctor has recommended only than one should start taking it. It must also be made clear from doctor about dosage. On Internet you will find lots of products, medicines or supplements, you can not try them just by watching at there benefits.

I have been prescribed citalopram 20mg tablets and find them good "mood enhancers". No side effects of any note but when I came off them suddenly I had some dizzy spells for a week or two.
See your GP - I do think they are worth the effort.
