Just read with despair Marion's posting, I feel completely helpless and very angry for her. I am sure someone can offer her advise which I cannot as I have no experience of her type of cancer. I think this is urgent!

Hi Marion, wish I could zip up the motorway and give you a big hug! They haven't given you much time to make such a big decision have they?
Have you discussed this dilema with your daughter? You probably know in your heart that only you can decide on this, which is why it is so hard. I must admit the thought of not being able to swallow again is quite frightening - hopefully someone with more experience will post a message on the board for you.
I personally think quality of life is very important but I'm not in your shoes!
