Hi
My oncolgist has told me I must go to the dentist following my r'therapy treatment (post 6 months!) as the dry mouth could cause me dental problems. I HATE THE DENTIST! I promised last time I saw him I would have made an appointment & I am due to see him again on the 25/01, but I haven 't! I want to go to a dentist but don't know how to approach this. Do I need to ask questions of the dentist, as in have they dealt with post radiotherapy patients etc. As my consultant said at 38 do you really want to lose all your teeth!! NO! Has anyone else got any suggestions anyone else out the in the same predicament! Take Care Smiler (aka Yvonne!) |

Hello Yvonne
This past post on oral care following radiotherapy might help. You could direct your dentist to this article about The Dentist's Role.
