Has anyone had High Dose brachytherapy to the tongue? Can you tell me what to expect during and after? I am supposed to have the prongs put in under my chin to my tongue and they will stay in place for 7 to 10 days. My Doc says I will need an NG tube as well. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hi Diana
I know nothing at all about this therapy but feel sure you will get some feedback from someone in the know ( as soon as they get out of bed up there on the other side of the world!).
All the best with your treatment. Don't hesitate to express yourself in any way at any time on the forum. There's always someone close at hand if you need answers, company or a place to sound off.
Take care and best wishes from Down Under
Deborah

Hello Diana

Have a look at this past thread on Brachytherapy.
Link to other past posts about brachytherapy.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes

Hi Diana

Have not been posting for a few days and wondered how you were getting on. Looks like you have made the decision about what treatment you are going to have. As you said, these choices are so difficult. Hope it all goes well for you.

Love

Gwyn
