Hi It's been 2 years since my mum finished her radiotherapy for jaw/tongue cancer. She has been doing so well but recently her jaw has hurt a scan has revealed radiation necropsy. They may need to operate again but will need to build up the bone with decompression chamber treatment. She is back on the morphine as it is very painful. Anyone else out there been through this?

One of the complications of treatment like radiotherapy is osteoradionecrosis (radiation necropsy). You will past discussion on 'osteoradionecrosis' by using the search function under the 'Find' drop down menu. You may find this post useful.
