There was a report on GMTV this morning about Carctol which is an alternative herbal remedy which has had some success in treating cancrt.

I'm not advocating it or otherwise - just posting to share the information. Knowledge is power.

These two links might also be interesting.

Hello Paul. What a b***** these biopsies are. Hope this one proves benign, dear. I know the sinking feeling so well. I am sompletely thrown at the moment because I have been given a new throat oncologist after 5 years with the other surgeon. I felt quite ill when his secretary told me on the phone that he has stopped doing cancer clinics.
Anyway, the new chap was starting off with a handicap of not knowing me or I him apart from the case notes and I was very nervous. But I was really pleased to find that he asked me lots more relevant questions and gave me more advice on my visit last week than his predecessor had done in aGES.
Good luck again
Ishbel.

Hi Ishbel, Thankyou for the kind words of support,
I am like in a standstill position until Tuesday.
I know what you mean my Consultant changed after about one month of me having surgery but the Consultant I have now is excellent and will go out of his way to me personaly although he has no obligation to do so.
As you say it helps greatly if he knows your situation and your MOUTH.
I am glad you seem to have got another good Consultant and dont be afraid to say what you feel and ask him anything you are concerned about Smiler .

Hi Paul

Sorry to hear you're waiting in results of another biopsy - everything is crossed for good news on Tuesday. Let's hope it is clear like the last few.

As for 'alternative' remedies, I believe that there is a cure out there somewhere whether it be natural or chemical. After all, it is a natural disease so why shouldn't there be a natural remedy? As I said in my post, I am not advocating it, merely sharing information which some people might find helpful.
