Hi Gang. I was just thinking what would you all feel if we had a Mouth Cancer Charity Cricket match and an annual one? Our very own team against a team of retired proffesionals or sporting celebs or even the Lords Taverners? Any comments?

Hi. Does anyone know who to contact for it? I would love to play in a charity match as long as i can open the batting. Not many people interested in one though?

Let's plan one for 2008. Any volunteers for an organising committee?

In the meantime, we could ask Kezia to see if we could have 2-4 mouth cancer survivors to play as guest players for each side in the Paul Beament Memorial Cricket match if any members are intersted in playing. The rest of us could go to Sidmouth to watch the game. Let's have some names for this please so that we can approach Kezia. There might be rules/regulations to cross, so no promises!

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee

I've only just seen this Vinod. I can certainly ask the question if this would be permitted under the club rules.

(It will be the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday. If the main team get to the Devon league finals, this will be played on the Sunday so the MCF game will be on the Bank Holiday Monday)

Sidmouth isn't the easiest of places to get to though, especially from the north!

I'll send you a copy of the match report/photo for this year if you like - it doesn't appear to be online so I can't send a link.
