A Prayer of Intercession For Peace of Mind to those Suffering the Insufferable.

Heavenly Father,

We are a group of your Creation who have been visited with adversity in health to varying degrees and have come together to give each other support and encouragement.

For those of us who believe in Christ we can take comfort also from the knowledge of your infinite and divine love for each one of us, as testified and borne Witness by your Son’s own suffering and rejection on the Cross for our sake. This comfort however is not universally known by our Group though we earnestly pray that one day it might be so.

We who believe however pray for all in our Group together with our Carers and Medical Specialists regardless of their Creed that they come to know in their own way your infinite Grace and may find therein the strength to face their troubles, doubts, cares and responsibilities with resilience; conscious that there are always others in greater need than their own.

For those who are afflicted we give thanks for our Carers love and devotion to us and our Medical Specialists talents and submit in trust to their care and attention knowing that your loving hand guides them for the benefit of us all.

We give thanks for the gift of your Son and praise and Worship you for your eternal faithfulness to us in both good times and in bad. Please never let us forget those others who may not suffer our problems but nonetheless face persecution and death for simply believing in you and bearing Witness to your Son: let their example help us toward salvation.

We recognise that you do not visit us with illness or persecution as punishments but to the contrary support us through all our adversities in this mortal existence be it known to us or not. Comfort the grieving Lord Jesus and permit us who must bear illness, pain and sacrifice to be small islands of light in the wilderness; directing others to your Kingdom where our Souls shall one day be divested of their human nature and re-clothed with divine nature for eternity.

May we be channels of your peace and we pray this in the name and with the authority of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, AMEN
