Thank you for letting us all know Cass. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Originally posted by Alan:The main reason that I wrote about my experiences was so that when my son Ryan grows up, he can better understand what happened to his Daddy. It was also written so in case I wasn't around when he grew up, it would help Angela explain what had happened to me and why Ryan no longer had a Daddy. I've always used the title "A story for Ryan" in typing up my experiences and would like it to be continually known as that.
So sad to hear about Alan. He was so gifted with words. His Dreams of Rhianon was so sensitively written. He will be missed. His posts will be his legacy to us. He last posted in June but gave no indication of any problems. It is a great loss. Our sympathies to Angela, Ryan, you and the family.

Cass.My condolences go out to you and your family on your sad loss. Dreams of Rhianon by Alan was so poignant, Im sure many a tear was shed after reading such a heart rendering piece.
Dear Cass, May I join in adding my heartfelt sympathy on your loss of such a wonderful man. I was sorry that I never met Alan. His fine gift of words conveyed so much about him; humorous, spiritual in the widest sense, devoid of self pity. An example to cherish. Warm regards to you and your family. Ishbel

Cass, just to add to all the other comments. I think we all appreciated Alan's fine use of words.
His use of words is highlighted, for me, by the way in which he effectively hid the seriousness of his condition. He came across as being very positively minded and I'd guess a real fighter.
I'll certainly miss his postings.
