I have sorry to have to have to pass on the sad message below from John Brady. Please pray for Brenda. She has been an inspiration to us all and I will never be able to repay her for her whole-hearted support for our activities. I have never met a lovelier lady. God bless you Brenda and keep you safe always.

Vinod

I’m afraid I have some bad news for you. Brenda has received the latest results from her CT and MRI scans. The tumours in her lungs and surrounding tissue have grown significantly and the disease seems to be accelerating. She’s now very breathless and has had a very painful last few weeks – an oxygen supply has been installed in the house. The doctors have ruled out any further radio therapy and chemo is not an option. She’s almost bedbound and is not responding to emails. The doctors won’t say how long she has left but have advised that she should now make arrangements to see family and friends.

She’s being well looked after by our two children, and I’m playing a part also. I only hope we are able to care for her at home right to the end.

Thanks for all the support you and your organisation have provided over the last four plus years – I know it has given Brenda great comfort and has been a source of much useful information. Could you pass this message on to the people on the web site who Brenda has come to know?

Kind regards

John Brady

Dear Vinod,
I, for one, would be very grateful if you could pass on my heartfelt feelings of sadness and joy to Brends. Though she did not communicate much, she did respond to some of my posts. She is a wonderful human being and reading from her earlier posts, a very gentle and caring lady who just cared and loved everyone here on the forum.
With lots of warm regards to Brenda and her family,
Ananth

I am not an emotional person but as I type I have tears in my eyes.I have met Brenda several times and each occasion was both a pleasure and an inspiration,I admire her for her straightforward common sense approach to life and its problems and, as Fran says, she is a lovely lady.
God bless you Brenda

Eventhough I am new to this forum, I feel like I have known you guys for years. What Brenda is going through really makes me sad. Got to know Brenda through her blog and that is good enough for me to figure out how wonderful a person she really is.

Brenda, hang in there. You and your family are always in my thoughts.

Lots of luv,
Sharifah

Like Paul I met Brenda earlier this year and found her to be a lovely, caring person. She has coped so well with everything she has been through and has been unstinting in her kindness and support to others. She has responded to some of my posts with such warmth and humour.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with Brenda and her family.

Much love

Gwyn
